Female Hormone Panel

Peri-menopausal.

The patient was getting old enough she knew her hormones were starting to diminish. She had been taking a Tribulus supplement to try to increase progesterone. We used the Female Hormone Panel (FHP) to see just what her hormone levels were throughout the "month."

Her Estradiol was normal enough although a little flat. DHEA and testosterone were quite low. Progesterone levels were fairly low but may have indicated a weak ovulation at about day 25 of the cycle.

The patient likely would benefit from sublingual progesterone augmentation during the luteal phase of the cycle. She also might want to address adrenal function with the Adrenal Stress Index (ASI). In the meantime, she could take a low dose of sublingual DHEA.

Warm regards,

Dr. Mark Rhodes, Ph.D.
