Short Post Menopause Hormone Panel
After a heart attack.
This patient had survived a heart attack, was on "lots of meds," and wanted her hormones to be at the healthiest levels possible. The doctor ordered the Short Post Menopause Hormone Panel (PHP1) to check on the patient's ovarian hormone levels.
Test results showed very low DHEA, normal testosterone, and slightly low estrone. Estradiol was above the target range, estriol in the target range, and progesterone well below the target range.
The patient might consider taking sublingual DHEA and using the Adrenal Stress Index (ASI) to check into her adrenal function. She might also want to use sublingual progesterone to get it up to the long-term healthy range. The high estradiol is definitely a concern. She might consider taking Livit 1 and Livit 2 to help her liver clear the high estradiol and increase her fiber to help remove some of it through the gastrointestinal tract.
Warm regards,
Dr. Mark Rhodes, Ph.D.
