Short Post Menopause Hormone Panel

Long-term health after a total hysterectomy.

This woman had had a total hysterectomy and was now concerned about her long-term health, especially after hearing so much in the media about the dangers of HRT. (Almost all the news is about hormone replacement using cross-species estrogens and a variety of synthetic hormones, not true human hormones. We always use the true human molecules.) The doctor ordered the Short Post Menopause Hormone Panel (PHP1) to measure just what her current hormone levels were.

Her DHEA was very low. Testosterone was normal. Estrone and estriol were a little low. Estradiol was in the target range, and progesterone was below the target range.

The doctor was going to put her on sublingual DHEA and sublingual progesterone. With the low DHEA, he might also order the Adrenal Stress Index (ASI) to address adrenal function.

Warm regards,

Dr. Mark Rhodes, Ph.D.
