Tests

I will be offering several kinds of tests that may be used to address a variety of complaints. Most rely on one or more saliva samples. A few require stool or urine samples. All of the tests are non-invasive and can be taken in the convenience of your home. I use Diagnos-Techs, Inc. Clinical & Research Laboratory for one reason. They are the best in the world.

A day hardly goes by that I don't discuss the results of an Adrenal Stress Index (ASI) test with at least one doctor. Many of these patients have already been diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome or fibromyalgia.

The ASI gives us such good information on how a patient is coping in the modern world. And it is easy to collect the necessary samples. A patient simply sends in four saliva samples from specified times during a single day. The four samples give us an idea of the patient's daily adrenal hormone rhythm and what might be done at different times of day to accomplish the necessary steps toward better health.

Likewise, I usually discuss at least one Short Post Menopause Hormone Panel every day. The test is so useful and so easy to take. It consists of one saliva sample taken on any day and mailed to the laboratory. The test gives us ways to improve symptoms in the short run and prevent long-term health problems associated with hormone imbalance (e.g. osteoporosis, tissue proliferation, weight gain, sleep problems, etc.).

I will add other tests in the near future that address female hormones, male hormones, gastrointestinal problems, and other chronic ailments.
